The Beginning
2004: RebirthRO Is Founded
December 24, 2004: RebirthRO.com Domain Registered
Syphon registers the rebirthro.com domain and founds RebirthRO as a Ragnarok Online private server. The vision: a stable, well-run mid-rate server with an active community, competitive PvP, and regular updates.
Everything is funded by Syphon from the start — the domain, the server hardware, the hosting, the development time. RebirthRO launches as a passion project built on a single person's investment and effort.
Growth Era
2005-2010: RebirthRO Grows Into a Top Server
Building the Community
RebirthRO grows rapidly through the mid-2000s, becoming one of the largest and most well-known Ragnarok Online private servers. Thousands of players from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and worldwide join the community.

War of Emperium becomes the server's signature competitive feature

Remy (Ancyker) Is Brought On as Developer
During this growth period, Syphon brings on Remy, also known as Ancyker, as a developer. Remy is given operational access to help with server development and maintenance — not as an owner, not as a co-founder, but as a developer.
Remy lives closer to the data center, which gives him physical access to the hardware. This becomes significant later.
The Takeover
The Takeover: Remy Seizes Control
Hardware Theft and Server Takeover
Remy uses his physical access to the data center to take control of the servers — servers that Syphon paid for. He refuses to return the hardware. He holds onto equipment he has no right to.
On top of that, Syphon later discovers Remy was secretly renting out rack space on Syphon's server rack to other people behind his back, pocketing the money. Profiting off someone else's investment while betraying them.
Clone Branding and Search Confusion
After the takeover, the rebirth.ro domain and similar clone branding appears. For players searching for RebirthRO or Rebirth RO, this creates deliberate confusion — the stolen operation looks similar enough to capture branded traffic from people who do not know what happened.
The critical fact that separates the two: Syphon still controls rebirthro.com, the original domain. He never lost it because it was always in his name.
The Rebuild
2017: RevivalRO Launches as the Official Continuation

In 2017, Syphon launches RevivalRO as the official continuation of RebirthRO. New hardware, new infrastructure, same vision and commitment.
