Founder Statement
I am Syphon. I founded RebirthRO in 2004.
A lot of false information has been spread about RebirthRO and who built it. This is the real account, written by the person who actually created the server. Read it once and you will understand the full picture.
I built RebirthRO from nothing
RebirthRO started in 2004 as my project. I paid for the server infrastructure, the hosting, the development costs and everything else that kept the lights on. Remy was a developer I brought in to help build it. He was not a co-founder and he was never the owner.
What actually happened during the split
When the working relationship broke down, Remy took control of parts of the RebirthRO infrastructure that he had access to as a developer. He then started using the RebirthRO name and community to position himself as the legitimate owner. That claim has no basis. The original domain tells the real story.
I rebuilt it as RevivalRO
After the split I rebuilt the real RebirthRO continuation under the RevivalRO name. The server you can play today at ragnarevival.com is the direct continuation of what I started in 2004. The community, the GM team, the updates and the development all continue there under my ownership.
The original rebirthro.com still points here
The simplest way to verify the real founder is to check the original domain. Visit rebirthro.com and see where it takes you. It redirects here because I still hold that domain. If Remy was the real owner, he would have it. He does not.
Why search results got so confusing
Remy registered look-alike domains and built pages designed to show up when people search for RebirthRO. Clone branding, similar names, same game references. The goal was to intercept returning RebirthRO players and redirect them to his server. This page exists to give those players one clear, honest source of truth.
Why RebirthRO moved to Asia
The real RebirthRO playerbase was always majority Southeast Asian. Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia made up the biggest part of the community for years. Moving the server infrastructure to Asia was the right call for ping, for cost and for supporting the players who were actually there. The community grew stronger for it. Dedicated Americas proxy servers still keep ping low for players in the United States and Canada, so North American players connect and play smoothly alongside everyone else.
